Educational Qualification

  • A degree (graduation) in any discipline from a recognized university
  • Candidates in the final year/semester of their degree are eligible to apply
  • If selected, the candidate must produce the degree certificate at the time of joining
  • No minimum percentage requirement is specified by SBI

Nationality / Citizenship

  • Indian citizen, OR
  • A subject of Nepal or Bhutan, OR
  • A Tibetan refugee who came to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling, OR
  • A person of Indian origin who migrated from specified countries (Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries, etc.) with the intention of permanently settling in India — must hold an Eligibility Certificate from the Government of India

Other Conditions

  • Computer literacy is expected — candidates must be comfortable with basic computer operations
  • Proficiency in the official language of the state/UT where the candidate applies is desirable
  • No minimum typing speed requirement
  • Candidates who have been dismissed from banking service or debarred by IBPS are not eligible
